Miumi-U is one of the most creative and dramatic young rope artists emerging from the classical traditions of Japanese shibari. Her training began in Tokyo when she became a member of the Ichinawa-kai where she studied rope intensively under Shishi-waka and Kurage Umitsuki for a year and a half.
