Dr Ming Hui Chua is a Research Scientist at the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE), the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore where his primary research is focused on organic thermoelectric and electrochromic materials. Dr Ming Hui Chua is a Research Scientist at the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE), the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore where his primary research is focused on organic thermoelectric and electrochromic materials. Dr. Chua graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science (1st Class Honours) in Chemistry, and with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2018. He is a recipient of the A*STAR Graduate Scholarship, which funded his four years of PhD studies, researching on the area of aggregation-induced emission (AIE). He also contributed to the compilation of a book on smart electrochromic materials and device as a co-editor. Dr Chua's research interests is in the design and synthesis of novel pi-conjugated systems as useful functional materials such as organic electrochromics and AIE-active molecules and polymers for sensing and optoelectronics applications.
