Dr. Mike Klein is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Justice and Peace Studies at the University of St. Thomas. Dr. Mike Klein is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Justice and Peace Studies at the University of St. Thomas. His work combines classroom teaching, campus and community education, and leadership development. His research interests include: critical pedagogy, peace education, intersections between the arts and social justice, and democratizing leadership. Klein teaches courses in: Leadership for Social Justice, Introduction to Justice and Peace Studies, and seminars on vocational discernment, art and social change, and coffee as lens for interdisciplinary analysis. He teaches graduate education courses on the Life and Pedagogy of Paulo Freire, and Critical Education in Social Movements. Mike is also a leadership consultant and an occasional community mural artist. He lives with his wife and daughter in Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA. See less
