Michael Pomedli, born in Western Canada, holds degrees in classics, philosophy, and theology. Formerly a Benedictine community member and priest, he was editor of the Saskatchewan-Manitoba weekly, Prairie Messenger , high school teacher, and professor at the University of Saskatchewan and First Nation University of Canada.
