Michael Azerrad is the author of The Amplified Come As You Are: The Story of Nirvana (HarperOne, 2023), an extensively illuminated version of his 1993 Nirvana biography Come as You Are: The Story of Nirvana , and Our Band Could Be Your Life: Scenes from the American Indie Underground 1981-1991 (Little, Brown, 2001). A former contributing editor for Rolling Stone , he has written for the New Yorker , the Wall Street Journal , the Yale Review , the New York Times , and many other publications.
