Michael Andrew was raised with love and discipline in a military family in Sydney's western suburbs. He entered the NSW Police Force straight after high school, and enjoyed the adrenaline rush of running down the road and crash-tackling an armed offender who'd just robbed a bank. His greatest honour was the rescue of a rock fisherman at North Palm Beach, for which he was awarded a certificate of bravery from the NSW Royal Humane Society. After 21 years' service, Michael was medically discharged from the police force.Michael's greatest achievement, however, is raising his daughter - now an adult.
