Maureen Dezell (Brookline, MA) is a veteran journalist and author. A former "Boston Globe" living/arts reporter, she covered health care issues and ethics for the "Boston Phoenix" and reported on the business and politics of health care for "Boston Business Journal". Author of the critically acclaimed "Irish America: Coming into Clover, " Dezell is now a freelance writer whose articles have appeared in "The New Republic, American Health, Child, ARTNews, " and "The New York Times." She teaches journalism at Emerson College in Boston. Carrie Hill (Paragonah, UT) has a PhD in counseling psychology with a minor in gerontology from Indiana University, Bloomington. Her professional experiences include geropsychology and neuropsychology rotations at the Buffalo VA Medical Center, two years as a nursing home clinician for the Jefferson Center for Mental Health in Colorado, and five years as the Southern Utah Regional Director of the Alzheimer s Association. She has published more than a dozen journal articles and book chapters and has conducted presentations at local, state, and national events in the areas of Alzheimer s, caregiving, and cross-cultural psychology.
