Matthew Welde's career in law has focused on justice and community safety. As a criminal prosecutor, he has focused on delivering justice for survivors of domestic violence and abuse. In this difficult arena, Matthew has seen the ugliness in this world but, even more, he has seen the courage and grit shown by incredible people who escape difficult situations. The experience of working as a prosecutor helped Matthew be grateful for the things that we do have and to embrace the opportunities to make a difference.Matthew finds immense fulfillment as a criminal prosecutor, working on behalf of survivors in this search for justice. He has had the opportunities to go to the private sector but has instead chosen to continue to serve - as Tom Brokaw said, "It's easy to make a buck. It's a lot tougher to make a difference." Matthew strongly believes that every problem has a solution, including the plague of domestic violence. This book is one step towards solving the problem. See less
