Martin Sheridan
Martin Sheridan (1915-2004) studied at the College of William and Mary and Rhode Island State College. He was a reporter and journalist by trade and the first civilian reporter on a submarine at war, spending 38 days on the maiden patrol of USS Bullhead. After had had debarked, Bullhead became the last U.S. Navy craft lost in World War II on August 6, 1945. He wrote Overdue and Presumed Lost in 1947.
