Martin Lau was Director of CIMEL (Centre for Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies, University of London) from 1996 until 1998. He is a Lecturer at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London (SOAS), with particular interest in the law of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
