Marshall T Meyer
Meyer began his spiritual struggle at Dartmouth College, where he was fortunate to find a superlative teacher, Abraham Joshua Heschel. While Rabbi Meyer was creating a large Jewish community in Argentina, he became one of the few outspoken critics of the repressive Argentinian miliatry junta that took over the country. Recipient of Argentina's highest award granted to a non-citizen, he was a figure of world renown who energized American Judaism when he returned to the United States in 1985.
