Marisa Rudder was born in Port of Spain on the beautiful tropical Caribbean island of Trinidad. As a child she attended all-girl Catholic schools, from the elementary grades all the way through high school where she attended St. Joseph's convent. She was raised a Christian. She is thankful for her religious upbringing in that it made her a God loving and spiritual individual. However, the Catholic Church and its male dominated ideology force-fed her a point-of-view that women are inferior to men. As a child and teenager, she was always taught traditional Christian patriarchal beliefs about religion and society and that men should be dominant and women should be submissive. However, in practice, she excelled in sports at an early age and competed in track and field, gymnastics, equestrian riding and ballet. She quickly saw that she could compete with and even outperform many men in these sports. Marisa has always competed side-by-side with men in male dominated sports, education and business fields. After graduating high school, she moved with her family to Toronto, Canada where she attended her first co-ed school. Marisa attended McMaster University and studied Engineering, a male dominated field, and then went on to study Information Technology and commerce at Ryerson University for 3 years. It was during her University years that she began to develop many of her ideas of female equality and leadership. She kept most of her thoughts and evolving philosophy to herself, trying her best to fit in to a male dominated society. It would be during her competition with men in sports, education and business that she would realize that she was equal to or leading the majority of her top male classmates in these activities. Marisa has always loved the arts, especially Broadway shows and this led her to auditioning and winning roles in Toronto's off Broadway theatre world. This love of the performing arts, storytelling and production led her to another life transformation. She is presently the CEO of Quantum Ad Ventures, Inc. an international TV and Internet production and commercial advertising company based in Toronto with clients in Europe, America, the Middle East and Asia. Marisa is hoping to help women in their changing roles as leaders in society and in the family and to inspire them to create a better more loving world for all people. See less
