MARINA MORBIDUCCI, PhD, Associate Professor in English Language and Translation at Sapienza University, Rome, lectures at MA and Specialized Translation Master Courses. Her research focuses on translation of contemporary American poetry. She published first Italian editions of works by Robert Creeley, Charles Olson, Kathleen Fraser and Gertrude Stein (Tender Buttons, Last Operas and Plays, Lifting Belly, etc.). As a recipient of a Fulbright scholarship at State University of New York at Binghamton, she was Prof. William V. Spanos' student and collaborated with the journal of postmodern literature boundary 2; she also contributed to How2, a journal of women's innovative writing. Her first academic publication in American experimental writing dates back to 1987, with an anthology on Black Mountain College - poetry and poetics, providing the first Italian translation of "Projective Verse."
