Born in Strasbourg, Alsace, Marianne Hauser has lived and worked in such diverse places as Bhavnagar, India; Tallahassee, Florida; Shanghai, China; and Kirksville, Missouri. Her present home is in New York City, where she is retired after her career as writer, teacher and editor.
