Marian Engel

MARIAN ENGEL was born in Toronto in 1933. The acclaimed author of Bear , she is also the author of No Clouds of Glory , The Honeyman Festival , The Glassy Sea , and Lunatic Villas . Engel was a founding member of the Writers' Union of Canada and served as its first chair. She won the Governor General's Literary Award for Bear and was made an Officer of the Order of Canada.
