Magdalene De Lancey

Lady Magdalene Hall married Colonel Sir William Howe de Lancey, Wellington's deputy quartermaster-general, in April 1815. After his death she returned to Britain and eventually remarried, but died shortly after the birth of her third child in 1822. Two of her descendants (her great-grandson and great-great grandson) died fighting in World Wars 1 and 2.
