M. Pickthall

Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall was a prominent British Muslim scholar, novelist, and translator, who is best known for his English translation of the Quran, titled "The Meaning of the Glorious Qur'an".Pickthall was born in London in 1875, and grew up in a well-to-do family with strong ties to the Church of England. However, in his early twenties, he became disillusioned with Christianity and began to explore other faiths.
