To be an authentic healer requires training beyond degrees. This most recent memoir about her adventures in medical school highlights the dilemma of being a healer in our modern-day medical system. Dr. Madsen is now a health coach--ironically no longer prescribing, nor ordering patients "what to do," it turns out healing has more to do with fostering the inner healer in us all; her books illuminate this process.
