Lynda and Patrick Childress have cruised Narragansett Bay for many years, Lynda since childhood. She is the managing editor of Cruising World magazine in Newport. Patrick, a U.S. Coast Guard-licensed master, has more than 30,000 miles at sea, some of which were amassed during a solo world circumnavigation from 1979 to 1981.
