Dr Luxita Sharma is a Gold Medalist in Masters of Food and Nutrition and completed her PhD from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. She is National Award recipient for Nutrition and Health Education conferred by Nutrition and Natural Health Science Association She has an experience of working more than twelve years in various hospitals and wellness industry. She has taught in government colleges to the students of B.Sc. & M.Sc. Home Science. She is presently working as Assistant Professor and Head of Department of Dietetics and Applied Nutrition, Amity University, Gurgaon since six years. She has written forty two research papers in National and International Journals. She has filed two patents and some other achievements are as follows: Assistant Editor - International Journal of Food Science and Nutrition Editorial Board Member -Member of International Journal of Nutrition and Agricultural Research Advisory Board Member - Asian Journal of Pharmacy, Nursing and Medical Sciences (AJPNMS) She is working on the testing and developing innovative nutritional food products beneficial for people suffering from nutritional deficiency diseases as well as for Diabetic, Heart patients, liver diseases and kidney problems. Some of the food products developed are Apple sugar - for diabetic people, Sweet potato noodles, Moringa Oliefera Papads, Water chestnut flour muffins, Mulberry Cheese spread and many more.
