Luis Urrieta, Jr.
Luis Urrieta Jr. is Associate Professor of Cultural Studies in Education and Mexican American Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Urrieta's research revolves around issues of identity, agency, and social movements in education with a strong focus on Chicana and Chicano and ind�gena education, identities and activism, and more recently on U.S.--Mexico migration issues. Dr. Urrieta was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and is the son of Mexican immigrants.
