Luigi Piccioni is Lecturer in Economic History at the University of Calabria, Italy. He graduated from La Sapienza University of Rome and received his PhD in Humanities from the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa. La dialettica tutela ambientale-sviluppo turistico nella storia della 'regione dei parchi', part of the volume on Abruzzo of Storia d'Italia Einaudi (Turin 2000).
