Louis Chu
Louis Chu was born near Canton, China, in 1915. His family moved to New Jersey when he was nine years old. Although he settled in New York, Chu returned to China during World War II and was married there after the war. Until his death in 1970, he was the proprietor of a Chinatown record shop and was the only Chinese disc jockey in New York City.
