Born in Columbus, Georgia, Louis Brown graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. Post graduation, he served in the United States Army Paratroopers. While enlisted he served on the Iron Curtain border during the Cold War. While stationed in Alaska, he survived the great Alaskan earthquake of 1964. He was voted Songwriter of the Year in Atlanta, Georgia on three separate occasions. He has over one hundred poems published in various publications. With his poem, "Love and War," he won a poetry contest in Seattle, Washington. See less
