Lothar Heinke

Lothar Heinke, a Berlin native, worked as a chief reporter for the East Berlin paper Der Morgen (The Morning) until 1991. After the Wall fell, he joined the metro section of Tagesspiegel, Berlin's leading daily. He wrote about the transformation of Checkpoint Charlie, changes in the former GDR, and Berlin metro stories.
