Lisa Shapiro is Professor of Philosophy at Simon Fraser University. She is the editor and translator of The Correspondence of Princess Elisabeth of Bohemia and Ren� Descartes (University of Chicago Press, 2007) and the editor with Martin Pickav� of Emotion and Cognitive Life in Medieval and Early Modern Philosophy (Oxford University Press, 2012).
