Lewis Laney started writing queer literature as a teenager in his adopted home town of Blackpool, Lancashire. At eighteen he had his first short story published in The Next Wave: The Gay Times Book of Short Stories (2002). He went on to write more short stories and also articles for various publications including the iconic music magazine The Face .
