Lev V Eppelbaum received the MSc in Geophysics (1982) at the University of Oil and Chemistry in Baku (Azerbaijan) and PhD (1989) at the Institute of Geophysics in Tbilisi (Georgia). In 1982-1983 he conducted geophysical investigations in the Central Geological Institute of Non-Ferrous and Rare metals (USSR). Lev V Eppelbaum received the MSc in Geophysics (1982) at the University of Oil and Chemistry in Baku (Azerbaijan) and PhD (1989) at the Institute of Geophysics in Tbilisi (Georgia). In 1982-1983 he conducted geophysical investigations in the Central Geological Institute of Non-Ferrous and Rare metals (USSR). From 1983 to 1990 he worked as a Researcher and Senior Researcher at the Institute of Geophysics in Baku. During 1991-1992 he had Postdoctoral Studies at the Department of Geophysics, Tel Aviv University (TAU). From 1993 to 2005 he occupied positions of Researcher, Senior Researcher and Senior Lecturer; in February 2005 he received at this Dept. (now this Dept. is renamed to Geosciences') a position of Associated Professor. His field of interest cover tectonics, geodynamics, paleomagnetism, potential geophysical fields, and 3D integrated geological-geophysical analysis. He is author of about 330 publications, including 6 books, 11 Chapters and 115 articles. Prof. Eppelbaum gives at TAU courses Potential Geophysical Fields, Environmental Geophysics, Archaeological Geophysics and Introduction to Marine Geophysics. He is Assoc. Editor and member of Editorial board in more 12 International Journals. Prof. Eppelbaum 16 times was selected as Chairman at International Scientific Conferences. He is a member of the International Commission Rotation of the Earth and member of the WebmedCentral Ecology Advisory Board. See less
