He was runners-up for the poetry prizes of the Sequestrum Editor's Reprint Awards, Fish International in Ireland, the Welsh International, The London Magazine, and the Society of Classical Poets. He has received honors in dozens of other competitions, including the Golden Quill Awards, the Bridport Prize, Morton Marr, The Southwest Review.
