Laurie Salisbury is the author of the He Reigns chapter book series and Nothing to Fear, an infant/toddler book that encourages faith in Jesus. Her hometown, or more accurately her village, boasts one of the largest herds of milk cows in the world, and on a good day, the wind is blowing south. She says the most important decision that she ever made was the decision to allow Jesus to take the reins of her life. She was 11 years old and riding on a school bus when she asked him into her life. That decision led her to her best friend and husband. God has also blessed her with nine (yes, nine!) energetic and fun-loving kids; four girls and five boys. Six of her children are biological and three are adopted. When she was only sixteen years old God called her to be a stay-at-home-Mom. She has obeyed that call, and the call of God to teach both children and adults. Teaching others to love and serve the Lord is her passion. She has taught at least two generations of Sunday school kids. She was a Sunday School Teacher for more than thirty years and a Children's Pastor for over ten years. There are many ways to serve God, and Laurie has served God as a Foster Parent as well. She has had the privilege of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with 28 foster children. She views writing as her service to the Lord as well. Her heart's desire is to encourage other believers and to introduce everyone she can to her friend Jesus. Miscellaneous things about her (In no particular order): She loves Opera, and hates peas. She shares two dogs with her family; Rico a paralyzed red Chiweenie in a wheelchair and Spock, a small, black, mixed breed rescue dog. She loves reading!
