Lauren Gould, author and creator of the When Kids Series; children's books about real life blended families and the scenarios kids encounter in today's modernized world. The When Kids series began when she was helping her stepdaughter navigate this her world of blended families. In guiding her to understand her two home scenario, they both quickly learned the books on the market were written from the perception of divorced families. Seeing how her stepdaughter struggled with these stories, as they were un-relatable to her and her life story, she set out to write a children's book series. Beginning with a blended family whose child does not come from divorced parents. She plans on writing more books that will evolve into a series for children in today's modernized world. She is hopeful that her passion of writing will be useful and inspire others while touching the lives of kids and families for many years to come. When Lauren is taking break from author and photographer, she enjoys fishing, camping, and eating sushi with her firefighter husband and spending as much time with her green eyed cutie as possible.
