Laura F. Klein is currently a Professor and Chair of the Department of Anthropology at Pacific Lutheran University. She received her Ph.D. in anthropology from New York University in 1975. She has done extensive fieldwork and ethnohistorical study with the Tlingit of Southeastern Alaska with a special interest in gender and politics. She is co-editor with Lillian A.
