Waldman received his B.S. degree in psychology and his M.S. degree in educational psychology from University of Wisconsin; his Ph.D. degree in educational psychology from Arizona State University. He has been a teacher at high school, junior college and university levels; a school counselor; a school psychologist; consultant; psychologist affiliated with a hospital; and a clinical psychologist in private practice.
