L David Mech
L. David Mech is a senior research scientist with the US Geological Survey and adjunct professor in the departments of Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology and of Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior at the University of Minnesota. Among his many books are The Wolf: The Ecology and Behavior of an Endangered Species and the coauthored The Wolves of Denali. He is founder of the International Wolf Center in Ely, Minnesota.
