Kunshan Gao

Professor Kunshan Gao is currently a Chair Professor at the State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science & the College of Ocean and Earth Sciences, Xiamen University, China. He received his Ph.D. from Kyoto University in Japan in 1989 and continued his research as a postdoctoral fellow at Kansai Electrical Co.'s Technical Research Institute and at the University of Hawaii in the USA. Professor Kunshan Gao is currently a Chair Professor at the State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science & the College of Ocean and Earth Sciences, Xiamen University, China. He received his Ph.D. from Kyoto University in Japan in 1989 and continued his research as a postdoctoral fellow at Kansai Electrical Co.'s Technical Research Institute and at the University of Hawaii in the USA. He was appointed as an Associate Professor at Shantou University in 1995, and was named Outstanding Young Scientist in 1996 by NSFC (39625002). In 1997 he was nominated as a Professor for the One Hundred Talented Programs at the Institute of Hydrobiology by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research focuses on algal ecophysiology and marine environmental change physiology, and he has published over 280 peer-reviewed papers. See less
