Kirby Jonas

In 1965, Kirby Jonas was born in Bozeman, Montana, and raised in a remote canyon called Bear Canyon. It was the right place to learn to be a nature lover--but the wrong place to learn how to act around people. In 1965, Kirby Jonas was born in Bozeman, Montana, and raised in a remote canyon called Bear Canyon. It was the right place to learn to be a nature lover--but the wrong place to learn how to act around people. From there, he moved to the remote farm country of Virginia, and his introverted beginnings were set in stone. Jonas moved out to the town of Shelley, Idaho, in 1971, where he grew up and graduated from school. He served a mission for his church in France, then moved to Arizona to work for a while and research some of his books before returning to Pocatello, Idaho, to make his permanent home. Jonas met and married Debbie Chatterton in 1989, and they have four wonderful children and reside in Pocatello, where Jonas is a city firefighter. See less
