Keith Dorney was a 2-time All-American offensive tackle at Penn State University from 1975-78. He also earned Academic All-American honors and was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2005.The 10th pick in the 1st round of the 1979 NFL draft, he was chosen by the Detroit Lions where he played his entire career. A memoir, Black and Honolulu Blue (September 2003-Triumph Books) was his first published book.While earning his MA in Teaching (University of San Francisco), Dorney's resume included teaching Juvenile Hall-sanctioned programs and high school English.More recently Dorney turned to corporate training, educating employees at Google(R), Microsoft(R), Cisco Systems(R), Roche(R), and others on how to maximize employee benefits and reach financial independence sooner.A Certified Financial Planner(R) since 2010, Dorney now writes and teaches full-time from his farm south of Sebastopol, California, where he and his wife Katherine raised their two kids and still reside.
