Keith Blackburn was born in Wakefield, Yorkshire in 1943. He has written 5 novels prior to this book, as well as a collection of short stories. Keith Blackburn was born in Wakefield, Yorkshire in 1943. He has written 5 novels prior to this book, as well as a collection of short stories. He started his artistic studies at Wakefield College of Art and later he completed a teacher-training course at Neville's Cross College. Unable to settle into any career after art college, a mix of jobs followed including working as a labourer at the London Zoo. However, Keith continued to write in his spare time. Keith became a full-time, self-employed artist and worked and travelled the world. He moved to Newlyn in Cornwall for more than a year, where he began to write his first novel. He visited Holland for the first time in 1991 and since then he spent his time between Amsterdam, Cornwall and Yorkshire. In 2008, he returned to his roots in Wakefield, where he continued to paint and write. With his last book, his pilgrimage ended. Keith Blackburn passed away on the 22nd of October 2018. See less
