Kaylee Miller was inspired to write A Guiding Light in the Forest after being diagnosed with breast cancer and struggling to find a children's book that could help her talk to her son about illness. Her hope is that other children can read her storybook and know they are not alone, whether they cope with their own illness or a loved one's.
