Kathryn Adams Doty

Kathryn Adams Doty had a brief career in motion pictures but left acting to marry and raise three children with Hugh Beaumont of "Leave It to Beaver" fame. She earned a Master's degree in Educational Psychology and had a distinguished career as a psychologist. She is author of the young adult novels "Wild Orphan" and "A Long Year of Silence," the latter of which won the 2005 Midwest Book Award and was a finalist for the Minnesota Book Award.
