For the most part, she was a people leader.As someone continually focused on the people side of change, she authored a publication titled Balanced Diversity: A Portfolio Approach to Organizational Change in 2011 She considered herself an accidental author back then. She stumbled across a framework for embedding change, set out to write a white paper on using it with ITSM, and ended up writing a book. Karen realized she had always been doing organizational change management but never called it that. The book propelled Karen formally into the industry.In 2019 she authored 'Game On! Change is Constant: Tactics to Win When Leading Change Is Everyone's Business' to prepare organizations and everyone in them for constant and uncertain change.The year 2020 saw the publication of two books: 'Unleash the Resiliator Within - Resilience: A Handbook for Individuals' and its companion, 'A Handbook for Leaders'. In the same year, Karen revised her 'Balanced Diversity' book, making it applicable to any industry.Born in Liverpool, Karen emigrated to Australia in 1998 and now lives in Melbourne with her wife, Breed.
