Juan Casiano
Juan Casiano fue un monje cristiano, escritor asc�tico y el primero en introducir las reglas del monacato oriental en Occidente. Naci� a mediados del siglo IV en la actual Dobruja en Ruman�a. Inici� su viaje espiritual a los veinte a�os en un monasterio de Bel�n. Poco tiempo despu�s visita en Egipto la Tebaida, donde permanece hasta el a�o 399. Una d�cada despu�s funda en Marsella dos monasterios y escribe, entre los a�os 420 y 428, sus dos textos m�s emblem�ticos: Instituciones cenob�ticas y Colaciones.
