Joseph Correa competed as a professional tennis player for many years. He trained with some of the world's best athletes. Early on, he learned that by training in other sports such as soccer, football, basketball, swimming, and track, his overall athletic abilities also improved as well as by paying close attention to his diet. For this reason he worked on being disciplined in what he ate and more specifically when he ate. Joseph is constantly searching for better ways to get in shape and improve his performance. Even though he no longer competes on a consistent basis, he focuses on maintaining his level of athleticism. His goal is to reach old age and still be athletic, fit, flexible and most importantly healthy by sticking to The Vilcabamba Diet and by working out regularly. Juan Carlos Correa received his Medical Degree at The Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador in Quito. He learned the importance nutrition can have on health and longevity. After working in small towns around the country of Ecuador as part of his graduate requirements, he decided it was fundamental to educate the villagers where he worked with on proper diet and nutrition. Later he taught college level Nutritional courses in Miami, Florida where he emphasized the importance of having nutritionally balanced diet and its application to daily life as well as routine exercise. He now works in St. Louis, Missouri as a General Surgeon. Dr. Correa believes that proper nutrition with daily exercise increases the overall quality and length of life. See less
