John Wilson was born in Scotland, but grew up on the Island of Skye and attended the University of St. Andrews, where he took an Honours B.Sc. in geology. Specializing in historical and speculative fiction for children, he has published a number of books with Napoleon: the Weet trilogy and Righting Wrongs, a biography of Dr. Norman Bethune.
