John R. Donahue, SJ, received his PhD in New Testament from the University of Chicago, and is the Raymond E. Brown Distinguished Professor of New Testament Studies (emeritus) at St. Mary's Seminary and University, Baltimore, MD. He previously taught New Testament at the Vanderbilt Divinity School, at the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, and at Loyola University Maryland.
