Professor John P. Returning home in 2013, he became the Professor in Infectious Diseases at Queens University of Belfast, Northern Ireland, and since 2019 has taken the role of Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) Professor in Molecular Parasitology at the National University of Ireland Galway.
