John Kemper
Kemper has been a birder ever since he was a Boy Scout and has accumlated a North American life list of 718 species. He has also worked for many years as an engineer in the scientific instruments and computer industries, becam a professor at the University of California, Davis, and served for 14 years there as dean of engineering.
