Toast has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Sciences (Space Systems Design) from the USAF Academy, a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering (Space Systems Design) from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Ph.D. in Aeronautical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology, as well as a Master of Science in Campaign Planning & Strategy from the National Defense University. John was a Command Pilot in the US Air Force and flew more than 4500 hours in various aircraft in operations around the globe. John now serves as a Senior Technical Leader for the US Space Force.
