Dr. Joel R. Fried is professor and past chair of the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Louisville, Professor Emeritus of the University of Cincinnati, and Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. He is an internationally recognized authority in the area of polymer science and engineering, and is the author of all three editions of Polymer Science and Technology .
