JOE BOYLE was born in Fleetwood, Lancashire, and now lives with his wife, Lesley, in Frigiliana, Spain. He has two daughters, Lisa and Heidi, and six grandchildren, Sophie, Joseph, Daisy, Emelia, and Erin. He left teaching to become a full time writer, and, now retired, he still retains an interest in the teaching of Art, and has a love of poetry.
